Installation

1. Copy the acf-auto_generated_value folder into your wp-content/plugins folder
2. Activate the Auto-generated value plugin via the plugins admin page
3. Create a new field via ACF and select the Auto-generated value type
4. Please refer to the Creates a hidden/readonly field in a repeater that gets a unique key, that won't change once it is saved. Ideal for user-generated forms. for more info regarding the field type settings

Hashing version

So this was a great starting point but i needed a truly unique string.

Not Generating Unique Number - Just Shows Zero

I've installed your plugin, added to a field group and made the field visible to the WP admin so they can use it in a URL string (and edit it).

However, when editing the post it only displays a 0 after my prefix...for every post I use it on.

What other information can I provide that will help you look at this?

WP 4.3.1
ACF Pro 5.3.0
Localhost (WampServer, Windows 7)

issues when using acf v4

Hey,

I can't get this running with ACF v4. I can add the field but it doesn't save anything ... looking into the db the values (and there db entries) are completely missing.
