Cannot find module '../lib/completion'

I installed gulper with npm i -g gulper, but when I run it on one of my projects, I get the following error:

Syntax error

I cannot run it at all.
Trying a simple gulper command and the result is below (replaced some dir names with "...").

Maybe it has something to do with using gulp version 4.0?

fails with newer versions of node?

I upgraded node to v6.2 and when i run gulper watch to track my file changes automatically, i get the following error:
