The build creates a number of components that need to go in various places, install some parts for all users, create a new daemon account and install a full time daemon that runs in the background, and set up the prefspane, etc.

Need to put together a nice installer that we can package for end users to simply download and install to use it "out of the box"

Maybe a simple way of CMDline installation?

Still should mac an installer anyway.

First Alpha used independent binaries that directly accessed the local sqlite3 database.

Need to rewrite to a single daemon accessor for all client processes.

This needs to include authentication for binaries to protect the integrity of the database and rework access rights to binaries and database to be "secure".

At the moment, updateAccountsWithResponse does a straight swap of the popup cell menu with a new menu,
This is a little nasty in some cases.

Should fix this to nicely add/remove values even if the popup is visible.

Some processes run as root (the prelogin and the daemon for instance)

convert these to an less privileged account still protected from local user accounts. Note that it needs to be constant and access needs to be provided to the data/prefs directory and the Unix Domain Socket.

Note: "You can use Open Directory services to obtain a locally unique UID"
