A dark and light Jetbrains theme ported from the Visual Studio Code TokyoNight theme.

There are 2 variants here:

• TokyoNight Storm

• TokyoNight Dark

Differences between this one and the theme by Grafikart

• Main difference is just this theme includes the UI theme too, without relying on the user to install Material UI theme.
• Tokyo-Night Dark support, planned support for Tokyo Night Day
• Otherwise everything is (about) the same.

Installation

On Your Jetbrains IDE:

• Open Settings/Preferences
• Plugins
• Marketplace
• Search for "TokyoNight Theme" >
• Install Plugin

Icons are very light

The icons are very light for Tokyo Night Storm. Like this:

The icons seem to be made for Tokyo Night Dark, which is also not perfect:

I would love to see this issue fixed in the future.

IDE text field selection is hard to see

Tokyonight storm theme (I selected "night")

Gruvbox dark soft theme (I selected "box")

Is the color changing with tokyonight theme?

Difference with Grafikart/tokyo-night-jetbrains-theme

I'm also a fan of tokyo night and I already created a port for Jetbrains IDE (https://github.com/Grafikart/tokyo-night-jetbrains-theme). It could be nice to indicates the difference between the two to help user choose the best fit. From my understanding your is more focus on kotlin right ? (I ask this so I can adapt my README and redirect users to your version)

Night mode auto-complete menu focused item cannot distinguish from background color

IDE: Android Studio Stable (Android Studio Bumblebee | 2021.1.1 Patch 3 for Windows 64-bit (872 MiB))

To reproduce, switch to the night theme, trigger the auto-complete menu, and then press the Down button.

The storm theme is working fine.

Compatibility with IntelliJ IDEA 2023.1

Missing day variant

Hi,
why the day variant is not enabled?

Memory Indicator color

Memory Indicator color doesn't fit theme colors

Some dark colors extremely hard to see

Example: The color used for ignored files in the project/solution view (here shown in Rider):

This is nigh impossible to read unless you squint really hard. It's a tiny bit better in the Storm variant but still very hard to read:

A similar problem occurs with badges in the UI:

That purple badge in the screenshot reads "Beta" but it's extremely hard to see.

Comments in the code also seem a bit needlessly dark, but not as bad:

I've examined these on three different screens to make sure it's not bad configuration from my end, but it looks just as dark on all three.

IDE 2023.x support

Will the theme support the current Jetbrains IDEs in the near future? I use tokyo night for almost everything and kind of rely on the syntax highlighting at this point. I could use Grafikart's version for the time being, but this one is much more preferred seeing as it is a complete skin.

Not compatible with 2024.1 builds

Today I was prompted to update my IDE (PyCharm) to the current 2024.1 version and the plugin stopped working. Are there any plans to update it?

I can add this theme into the lastest IntelliJ IDEA community version.
