Copy Page URL from Chromium context menu or toolbar. No longer published to Chrome Store. It is a hobby project and I don't have time nor interest to deal with all the vague rules Google introduces continuously. You can still install and use the extension through the developer mode. It also may stop working soon with Manifest V2 deprecation.
First thanks for this, it's a useful extension for copying the URL of a page running in application mode.
My question is why does it need run in background permission? I have many other extensions, and the only other one that asks for that permission is Google Hangouts. I can't think of any functionality this extension provides that would require that permission (though I'm not an expert on Chrome permissions), and it's not mentioned anywhere in the Store page or README - which made me immediately suspicious of it. I strongly considered removing it in case it was doing something malicious, but then I checked the code and I can't see it doing anything much.
I think that OK confirmation that a page URL has been copied lingers for too long on tool bar button of Copy Page URL when copying is executed via the tool bar button. It seems that this OK stays for about 3 seconds- I copy a page URL, close the tab, go to copying another tab and OK is still there. This does not prevent me from copying another page URL while OK is still on the tool bar button but for me 3 seconds is too long.
My suggestion:
either add an option in extension options for how long OK should stay on tool bar button (in seconds)
or make OK appear for a 1 second (at least for me 1 second is enough)
I suppose that the first option would be a better solution as the users would be able to specify the duration to their liking,
Anyway, Copy Page URL is very a useful extension for copying of page URLs via a single click, thanks for maintaining this project.
