What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Add some jira filters with many issues(say 200 or 1000) to favorites
2.Measure incoming and outgoing traffic
3.Panic

I expected to see delayed loading of issues in filters.

If delayed loading (or on demand, don't know the right term ) is not possible,
then it would be good to have some way of selecting filters to display in
extension other then adding the filter to favorites.
At this moment taking those filters out of the favorites is not an option since
there is a very good jira gadget "Favorite Filters"

Open the JIRA assistant as a separate window so that it shows up as an item on
the Windows task bar. The icon is pixelated.

1. Configure Jira to authenticate user with client SSL certificate
2. Install plugin

I should be able to connect to Jira without username/password. Jira allows to
identify users via a client certificate installed in the browser. The plugin
does not support this kind of authentication and report wrong username/password.

Jira 4.0.2. Plugin installed on Chrome 14.

In my company we are not allowed to authenticate to Jira with
username/password, indeed we don't have a password at all. The only
authentication method is installing a client SSL certificate in the browser,
which works just fine with Firefox and Chrome. Unfortunately this plugin does
not support this kind of authentication.

It would be nice if we could close an issue using the extension. Just like
similar to Resolve Issue dialog, there could be a screen for issue closure and
comment box with it. Most of the time Jira has another step for full issue
closure after resolve. So connection for Resolve -> Close action is missing on
the extension.

Not sure. Never have been able to get it working.
I've installed it multiple times. One thing that is odd is the "options" menu
item on the address bar is grayed out. When I click on the icon, nothing
happens.

I can use the extension at https://jira.atlassian.com, which uses a certificate
issued by DigiCert.
However, I cannot use it at our company's jira, which uses a self-signed cert.
It's a cert that causes Chrome to warn "The site's security certificate is not
trusted!"
When I enter our JIRA Server URL at the Options screen, the extension hangs at
"Authorization...". It doesn't matter that I've told Chrome to "proceed".
I've had a similar problem with Java apps (eg JCLI; or the Image Attacher
Plugin, see CIAP-16), and resolve it by adding our cert to JRE's
security/cacerts keystore.
Can something be done about this?

1. In setting, change the first search first filter (assigned to me) to:
'assignee = currentUser() AND resolution = unresolved ORDER BY priority DESC,
created ASC'
2.Save the settings, everything works. Restart browsers
3.Search i back to 'ORDER BY duedate'

I expected the settings to be saved, now I need to change them every time since
my Jira doesn't have DUE-date and the query will fail.

I am using Version 1.8.0 on Windows 7.
I would very much like to have any column available for selection.
A perhaps simpler solution would be to(by default) show the columns configured
in the filter definition in the order they are configured there.
The jira filter allows you to select the columns and order of those columns as
part of the filter definition.
Then both the dashboard and jira assistant ignore that info and force the user
to either accept the default set of columns and order or select your own set of
columns and accept that they will be put in alphabetical order.
Why allow filter column selection and ordering if they are completely ignored
when that filter is used elsewhere?
Just asking. :-)

the exception 'TypeError: Array.prototype.toString is not generic .' I have
temporary removed console.log(b) call from the jira.js in a deployed extension
and it works

I have tried to assign sub-task assigned to me to somebody else, but that
doesnt seem to work correctly. The drop down does not display the list of
users. I have tried placing the user names and user emails but none of that
seems to work.

3. The popup opens for no apparent reason and it has forgotten that you were
tracking somehting.

It shouldn't pop up wihtout me clicking the icon, and it shouldn't foget that
it was tracking something. I can't track any task more than about 5 minutes.

1. Configure extension with username, password, and url.
2. Open extension window to try and use it.
3. That's it. Having issue at this point.

I expect to be able to see tickets and use the extension.
Instead, I am unable to click on anything (more on that below). Also, during
the loading (just before the "Key, Summary, ..." etc. loads), I get the
following error:
DataTables warning (table id = 'table_0'): Added data (size 1) does not match
known number of columns (9)
I get the error every time. Then, I see the Key, Summary, etc, but no issues.
However, the headings (My Tasks, etc) seem to have the correct number of
tickets next to them (e.g. My Tasks (1)).
However, I cannot click on anything. Clicking does nothing: can't change tabs,
can't select the search bar, etc. I noticed that if I right-click the icon and
"inspect popup", I can then click on the tabs, search bar, etc. (after getting
the error above, of course). However, I see no issues in any of the tabs, and
only see the "Key, Summary, ..." bar on the "Assigned to me" tab.

This is really minor issue. When adding a URL and putting
http://www.example.com/ I get all links like
http://www.example.com//browse/PROJ-7. When building links you could remove
right slashes from a Jira URL in settings before concatenating the rest of the
issue URL. Just to make link clean :)

4. you will see: "tag isn't displayed", <picture> will not be escaped, thus
becoming an invisible tag

The window isn't properly resize when zoomed in. Instead, would it be possible
to control the font-size from Options? This will also allow you to control the
size of the bubble.

Also, after fiddling around, the options was grayed out and I can't access it
anymore (since the page resized and not showing the options. Could you put the

FYI: The resizing problem arose because I'm using 1600x900 on a laptop 15"
screen, so the text is too small to read.

This is an enhancement proposal, not an actual problem or defect.
It should be possible to configure the plugin to have the following behaviour...
When I register a work log on a certain issue, the corresponding work log
time/date is the current time. It should be possible to activate an option in
the configuration to subtract the work log length from the work log time/date.
Example:
At 10:15, I create a work log for 30 minutes. In Jira, the work log has the
time/date of 10:15.
With this option enabled, the work log would be registered in Jira at 09:45,
with the 30 minute length.
This is very useful when a precise time registration is important. We use Jira
in our organization for service desk issue management and we use issue work
logs to track at which time a certain task was initiated.

It was really handy to be able to type the word 'jira' in the address bar and
then enter a number for a jira task and have it open up by pressing 'enter'. It
would be great if you could restore this functionality. At the moment this is
what happens:
1. type 'jira' in address bar
2. press 'space bar'
3. type in jira task number
4. press 'enter'
5. address bar returns to previous url and page stays the same

Right now, if I open up a previously saved chrome session with several pages
open on JIRA issues which require I log in, they all redirect to the login
screen where I can choose one, log in and then go hit refresh on all of the
other pages to see the actual tickets.
Does your extension do anything to alleviate this issue by perhaps blocking the
loads of JIRA ticket pages until authorization has been performed?
On the topic of authorization, is the username/password given to the extension
for one's JIRA account(s) encrypted when/if stored? Or can one choose to only
give the extension one's credentials at chrome startup time and not save them
to disk (i.e. the extension doesn't save them to disk)?

Hello,
I am trying to do a "JIRA Query" on a custom filter, which does not appear documented anywhere, and I can only assume its something like project="BLAH". However this does not seem to be working, can you please provide some examples of what you expect to go in a custom filter so I can implement a few ?

If you define "badge color" for several filters, the extension doesn't behave
in a well-defined manner: the badge (number) seems to change unpredictably.
- maybe it rotates the selected badge on refresh. But my refresh interval for
all filters is 10 min, and it rotates more often...
I think it's best to *stick* to the badge of the last activated filter-tab. If
the last activated tab has no badge, keep the previous one.

I would expect the items to sort. They do not more. The indicator arrow does
change in the column header so the click registered.
