daily-notes-for-tw5's Issues

Usability Issues

  1. "/todo " before an entry is rather inconvenient. Especially on mobile where it autocapitalises it to "/Todo", which is not recognised as a todo.

  2. Then editing it to include "/todo" at the start sometimes recognises it and changes it to a todo and sometimes does not.

  3. But if you try to edit an entry on mobile it seems to be impossible to save the edited entry. Hitting the edit button again to save does nothing.

  4. On desktop hitting the edit button again is how you save it, but sometimes it also does not work there...?

Here is an example of a some daily notes. I can edit all of these, apart from the first one. Opening the edit menu, changing the text, and hitting enter does absolutely nothing. It just goes back to saying "test" again.

Loving the add on in general, thanks for the good work!

Some odd behaviors

Hi there. Thanks for the great work. I'm now using Drift for all my knowledge management needs.

Couple of observations on DailyNotes:

  • When I add a /todo to a new entry, it works as expected. But if I add a normal note and then I edit the text and add a /todo at the end, it will show the checkbox under Previous Entries, but it won't appear in Pending Tasks.
  • If I create a tiddler with more details on the task by clicking on the + sign to the left, if I delete the task later on, it won't delete the associated tiddler. I think it would be good if this could be something configurable by the user in settings or such.
  • The order of the todos under Previous Entries is the same under Pending tasks, but only initially. Once you start applying the checkbox to some, and the uncheck it, the order appears as they are unchecked. I think it would be good to still order them consistently with what you have in Previous Entries. In a very large list, it can be hard to find what your're looking for, especially if you do check/uncheck a lot.
  • It would be good to have the order of the items in Previous Entries starting with the most recent. It maybe a matter of taste, but I think it's definitely more natural to see the latest on top.
  • When I close daily notes and open it up again, I've seen situations where I cannot delete or edit an item in the list, regardless of the /todo status. It's generally the first or last element in the list. I can't exactly reproduce it every time but does happen.
  • When all /todo have been marked done under Previous Entries, and I delete a bunch of entries, a set of unchecked boxes with no title will appear in Pending Tasks.

Versions tested:
Drift 0.3.0
DailyNotes 0.0.33

Thanks you again!

Blank notes

Hello,

I added the plugin from here.

When I enter something it creates the timestamp but no text appears.

The Daily Capture tiddler is: {{$:/ak/plugins/DailyNotes/ui/capture}}

Incorrect Date in Capture Dropdown Menu

Thank you for making this great tool! I ran into this issue while using the capture example on your website. It'd be great if you could look at it.
After entering new text(today, 06-25-2020), the dropdown menu of the entry lists it under yesterday's date (06-24-2020), which was also shown on the first line:

However the individual tiddler shows the correct date:
