mouse wheel changes volume instead of seek

This appears like a general mpv question rather than something related to mpvacious. But if you want to change the audio volume with the mouse wheel, try changing input.conf

WHEEL_UP add volume 2
WHEEL_DOWN add volume -2

If you want to seek with the mouse wheel, try

WHEEL_UP seek 5
WHEEL_DOWN seek -5

Personally, I like to change volume with the 9 and 0 keys, and seek with h and l keys.

l seek  5
h seek -5
j seek -60
k seek  60
