When using the export to png, the results in each png frame were incorrect (very much so!)
Compare this frame to this svg file:
intro.svg.zip
When exporting any image with any settings, if any amount of downsampling is used, the background of the png will be solid black.
This affects any svg image/animation.
Any export size.
Any level of downsampling (other than 'None').
Using NO downsampling yields a transparent background in the png images.
Output type has to be PNG obviously.
Any duration.
Any FPS.
Even exporting a single frame, in which the output is a single .png file instead of a .zip file, yields the same solid black background.
Also, just a tiny side-issue that doesn't harm the user experience... When exporting a single .png (instead of multiple png images inside of a zip file), the exporter will say "packing zip", even though you're getting a single png instead of a zip. This is a non-issue, but just wanted to point it out since I noticed it.
When using "Animate attribute..." the keyframes dialog doesn't show what attribute is being animated. Once the animation node is created, there's no information about what type of animation it is.
Hi, I noticed that the play /pause animation button in the upper left corner only works once, until you use the short cut (spacebar) and you can use it again just one time. Sometimes as a result of this even the icon reverse or freeze.
AniGen version 0.8.1 Quality of Life.
The top line which shows the time control is quite hard to use, although it gives exact ability to set the time, it doesn't make it easy to adjust the timer slightly.
What would be great is if when the loop variable is set, a scroll widget could be added to the top which shows the current time location on a line. Moving the time location widget would advance and regress through the timeline. The line would be as big as the set loop.
When copying or cutting an animation from one xml node, it can not be pasted into a node that does not have any children yet.
My need is that I have several squares which will fade in over a standard timing, but which will kick off at different times.
First, thank you for this tool. I am just trying to learn it and would be keen to write a quickstart over the next long while once I've figured it out.
When creating an animation by animating attributes, after 10 seconds I have issues.
See the attached for example (zipped to be allow on github) electroswitch_drawing_22 (1) (1).zip
I am trying to attribute the text in the Story_Line_7 to appear between 12 s and 14 s. I do the following:
But something appears at around 2s even when I try to remove this.
What I think is happening is that because the default animation length is 10 s, when this is increased there is "stuff left behind" somehow.
I'd like to be able to select a number of paths and compile them into one path animation (animate attribute 'd') since I can use Inkscape to design each of the path positions but at the moment I need to open inkscape's xml editor and copy and paste each path position.
Hello. First of all, congratulations on your excellent work. Anigen is an excellent tool.
Please consider modifying the animation interface for a keyframing timeline system to something like it is used in Enve 2D. This would make the tool much more intuitive to create more complex animations.
Other tools with similar timeline for reference:
If there is any documentation to help, I am interested in contributing to the project.
Thank you!
Thanks for this awesome project.
I can't find any way to select multiple elements - and make a group of these?
While editing a keyframes seconds, I entered something which was NaN (not a number), it then showed me the percent and time[s] as "NaN" and no further edits would change the values from NaN, I had to delete and recreate the keyframe.
Thank you for the very quick previous fix.
When first visiting anigen.org we are given the option of saving the svg. When revisiting the site, the saved file is visible in the list on the load screen. But clicking on it does not load the file. The title bar does change to the filename though, so it's doing something on click.
