What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Forge an url with a cross side code inclusion to the website under
control of sitemap generator
2. Look your sitemap later
3. Url is included...
It seems any url requested by a customer or a robot can be indexed by
sitemaps since the url dont give a 404. It's very dangerous for site where
url rewriting rules can accept permissive rules, or for site who accept
additionnal parameters on the urls.

I installed Google Sitemap Generator on my Windows 2003 server with
IIS 6. I have followed all the instructions to the letter, but I can't
access the admin console, either locally or remotely. If I try
remotely (I was able to enable remote via command line), it times out.
If I try locally using https://localhost:8181 it says the connection
was interrupted.
I see that it's generating map files, as they have appeared in the web
site folders. I just can't configure the thing.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. locally - go to https://localhost:8181 in any browser
2. remotely - go to https://www.mydomain.com:8181

I have been using the Google site map generator since February of this
year with much success. But today when I checked it, there was over 50k
links in my site map... almost 3 times the average number of links from
when it was installed.
Looking through it, I noticed that it is combining links. For example:
The link that should look like this:
http://www.truckntow.com/c-147179-.aspx
Now looks like this:
http://www.truckntow.com/c-147179-.aspx/c-147075-.aspx</loc>
A link that should look like this:
http://www.truckntow.com/c-147024-traffic-management.aspx</loc>
Now Looks like this:
http://www.truckntow.com/c-147136-.aspx/c-147024-traffic-management.aspx
I reset to the default settings, tried using the log parser instead of the
webserver filter, I removed all the custom settings but nothing fixed it.
Please note that NO CHANGES were made to the configuration from the time
is was working properly until it started doing this. To eliminate an issue
with the site, I went to sitemaps.ord and genereated a 500 link site map
which did not com back with the same problem.
My webmaster tools say there are no errors other than the usual broken
links from using bad characters in our URLS which have alwasy been there.
Please advise!

The sitemap generators generates:
www.domain.com/
www.domain.com/suche
www.domain.com/search
www.domain.com/research
But not all of those URLs exists at the application makes a check
and also compares the domains with the URL to make sure that no duplicate
content exists.
Country specific domains are a must and can not be replaced by a single
domain, due to company policies and other issues. Different responsibilites
for different domains but hosted on the same server and due to many
subdomains it is not advisibale to not use Alias domains inside of Apache.

Multiple site server
After initial installation could not open http://localhost:8181 or
https://localhost:8181. Just a general "cannot open this webpage" error
(ACL error) - seems like default installation doesnt assign IUSR rights to
instllation folder...
I assigned read/write access for IUSR account in C:\Program
Files\Google\Google Sitemap Generator\admin-console, after which it seemed
to start doing something, but it just gave me another error:
"Failed to lock admin console cgi."
Googling it doesnt return anything.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I have downloaded google auto generated sitemap from
"http://us.f13.yahoofs.com/bc/4447f099md4059062/bc/Sitemap.xml?bfS2wqJBwvjKpl2P"
for my site and saved it as Sitemap.txt file and trying to upload.
2. I have uploaded above Sitemap.txt file using Google document and got the
location as "http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dd5znw98_8c568z4fr". I am able
to view the file using the above mentioned location in another browser window.
3. When I try submitting Sitemap from Dashboard->Sitemaps page by providing
sitemap file location as
"http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dd5znw98_8c568z4fr", which uploaded earlier
using Google document and upon clicking "Submit Sitemap" button, it's
throwing 404 error.
I am wondering why's it saying unable to access from given location, it's
Google location
3. Your help would be appreciated resolving this issue.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Instead of successful upload of Sitemap, I am getting 404 error

The Music Website BlueMusicGroup.com has lots of subdomains, each html page
has its own subdomain address, total about 150 now. That is why I was
recommended to use a Sitemap.
According to the Google description, subdomains are allowed in the Sitemap
file. For instance http://mikapohjola.bluemusicgroup.com or
http://stillalive.bluemusicgroup.com is a part of
http://bluemusicgroup.com, not a different site.
Each subdomain on this site is only one page, linking to another subdomain
within the domain bluemusicgroup.com.
So โ how should *one* Sitemap be created in a situation like this?
Following a recent suggestion by a Level 2 webmaster, I'd need to have one
Sitemap-file for each page, containing one page in each Sitemap file.
That's not what I understand the Sitemap is about.
Grateful for all help on this.
