I've come to BIR from Gwenview (which removed KIPI plugin functionality a while ago). I've gotten my work flow to a point where when I make web-destined images I append their size, e.g. "_1200px" or "_index" (for printing index pages), to the filename. Pre-pending such to the filename doesn't really make sense (maybe it's just me), could this be added? I'd be willing to discuss a bounty, as opening Krename each time is getting laborious.

I put it on the Arch User Repository for you: bir-git.
Maybe you could create a tagged release, so I can also put up a "Stable" version instead of only a *-git version.

I am on ubuntu.
I assume this is the same package?
