It seems worth considering modifying the table listing packages in the README to show Bering and GOA/AI packages on the same table. Would avoid redundancy for products that are developed/maintained by both groups.

nmfs-opensci template integration?

The @nmfs-opensci group has made a template .github repo that might be similar to what we need for our organization. Might be worth forking/comparing and incorporating.

I wasn't sure who first started this repo, but if they would like, I am happy to look into it! If that helps, feel free to assign this issue to me.
