PRAXXYS Backend Exam

Environment

DATABASE : MySQL

SERVER: APACHE

DATABASE AND SERVER MANAGEMENT TOOL : XAMPP

Set-up

##Mac Os, Ubuntu and windows users continue here:

• Create a database locally named backendexam utf8_general_ci
• Download composer https://getcomposer.org/download/
• Pull Laravel/php project: git clone https://github.com/dekarona22/Larave-vue-videojs.git.
• Open the console and cd the Larave-vue-videojs root directory
• Rename .env.example file to .env inside your project root and fill the database information. (windows wont let you do it, so you have to open your console cd your project root directory and run mv .env.example .env )
• Add this FILESYSTEM_DRIVER=public to the end of your .env file
• Run composer install or php composer.phar install
• Run php artisan key:generate

If you encountered any problem

composer update --lock

##Install the packages

$ npm install
$ npm run dev

or

$ yarn install

##Migrate the database:

php artisan migrate

##Run the server

First console

$ php artisan serve

Second console

$ npm run watch

Factory and Seeders (Product/Admin)

php artisan db:seed

To seed/Factory Admin table:

$ php artisan db:seed --class AdminSeeder 

OR run the tinker by entering:

$ php artisan tinker
>>\App\Models\User::factory(number-of-data-to-generate-in-integer-format)->create();

To seed/Factory Product table:

$ php artisan db:seed --class ProductSeeder

or run the tinker by entering:

$ php artisan tinker
>>\App\Models\Product::factory(number-of-data-to-generate-in-integer-format)->create();
