brook's Issues

Read/unread feed indicator

When an unread feed is selected, it is marked as read despite it has unread articles. After an update, the selected feed changes to unread and doesn't change to read when all articles are marked as read.

Feeds should remain unread if they have unread articles and change to read only when all articles are read.

Open item in new tab

When I left-lick on an article, I'd like it to open in a new tab.
I understand that I can do this by right-clicking, and selecting "Open link in new tab", but that becomes tiresome.
Thanks Adam.

Rename items?

Is there a way to rename feeds? I couldn't find that functionality.
It would be a nice addition, because sometimes feeds have cryptic names, and it would allow one to structure their feeds much better.

More control over RSS feeds

Hi, I hope you are ok with some more contributions. I'd like to get involved with some open-source projects and I enjoy using your Firefox Addon.

I'd like to add the RSS feed for https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/ but Brook is unable to pick it up. I know the page has an RSS feed and would like to add some additional functionality to manually add the feed URL rather than having to rely on the extension to pick up that there is a feed.

Cheers
Dean

Feature request: please add support to opening articles in new tab/window using middle mouse button and keyboard shortcuts

Using version 0.2.1

Feature request: please add support to opening articles in new tab/window using middle mouse button and keyboard shortcuts

Current behavior:
Ctrl + click on article link => article opening in the same tab as current tab, expected: to open in a new background tab
Ctrl + Shift + click on article link => article opening in the same tab as current tab, expected: to open in a new foreground tab
Shit + click on article link => article opening in the same tab as current tab, expected: to open in a new foreground window
Middle mouse press on article link => article opening in the same tab as current tab, expected: to open in a new background tab

Add one-key feed reading

Can I suggest keyboard navigation (basically "go to next unread") and an "only show unread items" menu option? It would be great to be able to press a key and go to the next unread feed.

Excessive memory usage

During automatic update of feeds memory usage rise excessively.
