Hello, this is an amazing dashboard you needed to start with ELK. But, coud you share with us :
are you using Filebeat, Metricbeat, and/or Logstash ?
how do you configure them to give results as shown on the images ?
Thank you.
Hello! I hope you're doing well.
I am new to Elasticsearch and Kibana, and I have encountered an error that reads as follows:
"ERROR i.m.elastic.ElasticMeterRegistry - failed to send metrics to elastic (sent 84 metrics but created 0 metrics): ...."
Can you guide me on how to configure my metrics hostname and application?
kibana 7.17ver
error
Some of the dashboards appear to be in an error state.
Solution
Modify script statement after file registration > file : kibana-index.ndjson
script :
if (doc['name'].value == 'http_server_requests') { ...
if (doc['name.keyword'].value == 'process_start_time') { return doc['value'].value } return '-'
Change everything else too. 'name' > 'name.keyword'
Hello !
I apply the same instruction , but i get this error :
[timelion_vis] > Timelion request error: Error: in cell #1: [script_exception] runtime error, with { script_stack={ 0="org.elasticsearch.index.mapper.TextFieldMapper$TextFieldType.fielddataBuilder(TextFieldMapper.java:762)" & 1="org.elasticsearch.index.fielddata.IndexFieldDataService.getForField(IndexFieldDataService.java:116)" & 2="org.elasticsearch.index.query.QueryShardContext.lambda$lookup$0(QueryShardContext.java:311)" & 3="org.elasticsearch.search.lookup.LeafDocLookup$1.run(LeafDocLookup.java:101)" & 4="org.elasticsearch.search.lookup.LeafDocLookup$1.run(LeafDocLookup.java:98)" & 5="java.base/java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(AccessController.java:312)" & 6="org.elasticsearch.search.lookup.LeafDocLookup.get(LeafDocLookup.java:98)" & 7="org.elasticsearch.search.lookup.LeafDocLookup.get(LeafDocLookup.java:41)" & 8="if (doc['name'].value == 'http_server_requests') {\n " & 9=" ^---- HERE" } & script="if (doc['name'].value == 'http_server_requests') {\n return doc['method.keyword'].value + ' ' + doc['uri.keyword'].value\n}\nreturn '-'\n" & lang="painless" } Error: in cell #1: [script_exception] runtime error, with { script_stack={ 0="org.elasticsearch.index.mapper.TextFieldMapper$TextFieldType.fielddataBuilder(TextFieldMapper.java:762)" & 1="org.elasticsearch.index.fielddata.IndexFieldDataService.getForField(IndexFieldDataService.java:116)" & 2="org.elasticsearch.index.query.QueryShardContext.lambda$lookup$0(QueryShardContext.java:311)" & 3="org.elasticsearch.search.lookup.LeafDocLookup$1.run(LeafDocLookup.java:101)" & 4="org.elasticsearch.search.lookup.LeafDocLookup$1.run(LeafDocLookup.java:98)" & 5="java.base/java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(AccessController.java:312)" & 6="org.elasticsearch.search.lookup.LeafDocLookup.get(LeafDocLookup.java:98)" & 7="org.elasticsearch.search.lookup.LeafDocLookup.get(LeafDocLookup.java:41)" & 8="if (doc['name'].value == 'http_server_requests') {\n " & 9=" ^---- HERE" } & script="if (doc['name'].value == 'http_server_requests') {\n return doc['method.keyword'].value + ' ' + doc['uri.keyword'].value\n}\nreturn '-'\n" & lang="painless" }
Any idea about that ?
That's not an issue, but if someone needs to make it work in earlier version of Kibana 7.1.1 (which is the latest atm available in AWS Elasticsearch) I've made a fork and migrated the config *.json
