torontocitybikesanalysis's Issues

Peer Review #1

Rubric Assessment

  • LLM usage documented: A statement about whether LLMs were used has not been included in the README.
  • Title: The title is well written.
  • Author, date, and repo: They are clearly included.
  • Abstract: The abstract is very well written.
  • Introduction: It can be improved by adding why this is important at the end. Otherwise good job with the introduction!
  • Data: Not exceptional but it can be improved by adding an explanation of the variables and features in the table and two bar graphs.
  • Measurement: Needs to be added to the report
  • Cross-references: well-written
  • Prose: Some minor grammer problem was noticed in "which age group and gender is most impacted?" in introduction. "who serve the homeless and under-housed communities can submit reports of deaths, the City of Toronto’s Shelter," in data and "A note on the gender variable: the cause of death for transgender people or other genders were not a part of this dataset," in data.
  • Graphs/tables: You can use captions and sub-captions for the figures to provide a clear purpose in your paper.
  • Reference List: The references list is not seen in paper.pdf, please add that.
  • Commit: There are in total 12 commits seen till when I was reviewing the paper, which is exceptional.
  • Sketches: well-written
  • Simulation: update scripts/03-test_data.R
  • Reproducibility: Write your own README file by adding LLM statement here. Otherwise, well organized repo!
  • Code Style: Well-written

General Notes

  • The usage of LLMs needs to be documented in the README
  • It's crucial to enhance the introduction by addressing the significance of the research. The data section could benefit from providing a clearer explanation of variables and features, and the measurement aspect needs to be added to the report.
  • Minor grammatical issues were identified in various sections, such as the introduction and data paragraphs.
  • Ensure the reference list is included in the paper.pdf.
  • Your commitment to the project, as evidenced by the 12 commits, is commendable!
  • Don't forget to update the scripts/03-test_data.R for simulation purposes and the README.md for reproducibility.

Despite these suggestions, your paper is well-organized with a strong title, abstract, and repository structure. Keep up the good work!
