Description

Recycling App is an android application that provides information to user about recyclable items that are available in nearby places and also allows the user to inform other users about the recyclable items the user has. To fulfill the rising demands for metals, it is critical to identify new sources of raw materials, and one of the most important sources of raw materials is recycling. This app helps in notifying the nearby recycling facilities and also the people who are willing to recycle things to get information about user uploaded data about products which are recyclable.

Project Setup

👉 Requirements:

1. Any Operating System (ie. MacOS X, Linux, Windows)

2. Any IDE with Flutter SDK installed (ie. IntelliJ, Android Studio, VSCode etc)

3. A little knowledge of Dart and Flutter.

4. 1 GB storage

💻 Setup:

1. Clone this github repository into your local device.

2. Open the Recycle-App folder in your IDE with Flutter SDK installed (ie. IntelliJ, Android Studio, VSCode etc).

3. Install all the packages required. Run flutter pub get from the terminal to install the required packages.

4. Now in order to run the file for debugging you need to add your SHA-1 and SHA-256 in our firebase as we have added user authentication in using google account.

5. If you want to collaborate please contact the undersigned.

👉 How To Use the repository

• To clone and run this application, you'll need Git and Flutter installed on your computer. From your command line:

# Clone this repository
$ git clone https://github.com/7-USH/Recycle-App

# Go into the repository
$ cd Recycle-App

# To Install the dependencies
$ flutter packages get

# Run the app
$ flutter run

Applications

• Recycle-App provides a way for user to get information about products which are recyclable in their nearby area.
• This app can be use by local retailers to buy/sell recyclable goods easily.
• This app helps in disposing recyclable waste without any harm to the environment.
• Waste Management can be done efficiently with the help of Recycle-App.

Future scope

• We will be adding object detection to our app using Machine learning models.
• We will be adding most of the recycling facilities and plants nearby using an appropiate api.
