Petya Vaccine, solution from @0xAmit, however I wrote a .bat file that does the fix automatically. Purpose: give vaccine to people who run Windows.

to run the Petya Vaccine you MUST

hit download (I would recommend saving it in your downloads folder, should be the default)

(WHILE IN FILE EXPLORER)

Right-click "Petya_Vaccine.bat"

Then hit "Run as Admin"

Click "yes" when promted

the Petya_Vaccine will scan to see if you have the vaccine or not

if you don't have it, it will then ask if you would like to intall the Petya_Vaccine

WARNING THIS MAKES A EDIT TO YOUR C:\WINDOWS FOLDER

then type "y" and hit enter

hit enter again to exit CMD

Keep in mind this is a VACCINE NOT A CURE!
