However, I'm not sure whether it includes MPD software.

Bann Audio is about to release Sylphid in Jan. 2021 in Korea.
Sylphid is an UPnP streamer and has been started as a crowdfunding project
It is based on the MPD 0.20.23 without any patch and Upmpdcli on top of it.

I think you should know about EasyMPD.
It provides web interface on top of MPD for Alix, APU and Raspberry Pi.
It is commercial software and selling price is around $60.
I cannot find any information about GPL at Korean homepage.

I just opened this issue in order to discuss about Roon implementation in Linux streamers. I read your page referring to Roon MPD patch and I would like to discuss about it.

As far as I am concerned, the most popular Roon implementation (in audio distributions that use MPD), is Roonbridge:

Roonbridge is in fact a propietary Roon client receiving data from another machine which acts like a Roon server. All this procedure has nothing to do with MPD.

If course there's a possibility that some of these companies have written proprietary code for a Roon MPD plugin, but I am 99% sure that they just use Roonbridge in parallel with MPD.

I was trying to test input_cache plugin without any luck and then I realized that the default documentation link points to 0.22 documentation and not 0.21.x which is the current stable one.

I don't know if this is intentional, but I just wanted to let you know about it.
