Hi,
This sounds like sane changes. You can of course make a Pull request. You can find tutorial on the internet, basically you first need to fork the project (click on the button "fork" on GitHub). You will get your own copy of the repository. You can then make any changes, push your changes to your fork, then on GitHub you can click on a new button "Submit pull request", so that we can evaluate your changes and merge them, or not.
