Care to elaborate? I understand Firewalls is a separate concept... but why does it not use permissions as it's means to the end instead of roles. I can't help but to feel you shut me down.

I hoped it was the case that the issue just needed clarification. Thanks for taking the second look. I'm not sure exactly how much work it would be to implement and/or if you should maintain a backwards compatibility, but I could take a shot at the changes if you want to provide a bit of scope.

Thanks chaps, I've raised a PR that provides support for this. I don't have time right now with a pending launch in April for writing tests, buy hey, there's none on the existing Firewall route anyway
