Hi @nathanlesage , just tried the nightly build and doing some preliminary tests, it looks the issue is fixed (at least for me - Ubuntu 20.04).

Many thanks for the quick fix! ❤️ 🙏🏽

For me (3.0.3 on Windows) the font doesn't return to normal once I start editing (remains large monospace). Also, the cursor isn't shown, so while I can edit, I do it kinda "blindly". For now the only workaround is to remember the file name, and then find it anew by name, through the file panel, but of course it's somewhat suboptimal :)

Indeed. I ended up downgrading back to 3.0.2 because this was a bit annoying. Hopefully this will get fixed in new releases. 🤞🏽

This likely has nothing to do with the search per se, sometimes there are issues with loading the editor, and if something fails, the theme doesn't load properly, and that explains the weird monospace font (that's the basic styles without any theme applied).

Please try out the coming nightly on Monday and see if that fixes the issue. I couldn't reproduce right now.

Yep, confirming that it's not search-related; search just seems to make it more likely that it happens. Loading longer documents with lots of formatting also seems to be a factor.

Quick update: maybe don't try out the Monday nightly just yet, I am currently sifting through the entirety of the application GUI and while doing that I uncovered a ton of bugs; I'll try to fix them but I probably won't finish today.

Another update (sorry), since I just managed to fix most of the bugs I had introduced during the refactor; a new nightly build is in progress, that should be okay-ish stable to test out this specific issue.
