I will revert back to the one from the Web Store and see if I can reproduce it.

@harry-private Did you download it from the Chrome Web Store or build it yourself from this repo?
Could you provide which page/repo you tried?

I installed it from chrome, and I tried it on many pages and repositories, but the icon is not showing up, but it is working fine on other supported websites.

@harry-private Oh sorry the one on Chrome Web Store is very old 😓

@zenorocha We need to work out something that makes it possible to make releases, maybe using Github actions?

I know the one on the webstore was last updated in 2017 but it was working just fine till recently.

Actually I am able to reproduce this with both the old and latest version of CodeCopy.
But it only happens when you navigate back to a "cached" page.
Steps I did:

  • Open CodeCopy repo -> buttons shows in README
  • Go to Issues tab
  • Go back to code tab (page loaded from cache) -> no buttons visisble

If you refresh the page then the CodeCopy buttons will be visible.
It seems that if pages are loaded from cache the extension isn't triggered, will try to look into this.

I have an extension installed which delete the cache of a particular website when you click on it, I tried that too, and refresh the page many times, but even then it did not work.

I will try to remove the cache manually once I am on my laptop and see if it works

@Glennmen Any chance we could get a new release on the Chrome Web Store?

@whalehub I would love to but don't have access only Zeno does.
I will try to contact him and see what we can do to remove this bottleneck.

Just to let you guys know, the extension on Webstore is also working just as it designed to, the mistake was on my part, I was hoping it to work on files too, for example, something.dart. Now I know it works only on codes that are in .md files
