Yes, I just assumed it would be part of ZF2 as well. So it's not possible to use a fast cache with tags at the moment ... that's not cool. :-)

mh good question - the issue was created in base of a very different implementation.
The idea was to implement a storage plugin but because of the additional interface/methods it's not possible to do it as an plugin that makes it more complicated.

As an idea it should be possible to implement it as a Trait but traits are not supported for PHP-5.3 and it's not possible to use it by configuration - It requires to write a different adapter (or extend an existing one) and add the trait to it.
