I can do, e.g., 56x250 without problems, repeatedly:
... but I still believe there is a path to that "existing tileMatrix of different size" thing. Maybe there's a correlation to odd widths and/or worldwrap and/or repeated generation requests???

No, I really mean I am convinced that exception can pop from map editor. Somehow. We just don't see how to reproduce. Keep your eyes peeled if you edit more maps.

Well, all that I did was to generate a Rectangular Empty custom dimenssion map (Width: 57 Height: 87) and it crashed.

I believe I've seen issues in the past with odd dimensions for rectangular maps, so it definitely could be something related to that
