Does it make any difference to run ffmpeg on a service thread (background)? I tried video edition in main UI thread and it takes ages. I suspect a background service would help. Have somebody tried this one?

I wrapped an ffmpeg concat call in an RxJava Observable and ran using the computation scheduler (background thread) - A 15 second video can still take up to 2 minutes on some older devices but works quicker on devices with faster/more processors. Same call on an S6 took 26 seconds.

Hello All,
I was facing the same problem.
and i found one solution.
add following before output
-c:v libx264 -preset ultrafast
it will help to decrease processing time.
