animations with awesome
Not sure since I've never tried implement any animations in my config, but I'd say it's not an easy task.

Does your aniwall application automatically rework images to make it very minimalistic
No, application can only recolor and scale prepared patterns. Patterns itself all created manually. App created with python and gtk3.

First widget for general system monitor. Top arrows to show cpu load by threads, bottom bars for ram and swap usage. Second widget with similar structure to show my torrents state (transmission
application), where upper part for torrent progress itself, bottom bar for current download/seed speed.
Desktop widgets is a bit complex and very hardware specific part of config, you have to start reading lua code if you want to understand more.

Ah I see fair enough.
One question, out of curiosity, I wanted to know if you have used xmonad
before. If so like, then were you like experienced in it?
If so like what makes you chose awesome
over xmonad
?
from awesome-config.
No, honestly I have no experience with xmonad
so can't compare this WMs.

Oh ok thanks mate.

One other question, is it easy or difficult to do animations with awesome
?
from awesome-config.
@worron hey man one question, did you make the wallpaper images yourself or did you get it from the Internet?
from awesome-config.
Usually it's images from internet which was reworked by me to some vector patterns. Also by that link my half-baked application for easy scaling and recoloring such patterns can be found.

@worron Does your aniwall application automatically rework images to make it very minimalistic and is it easy to change the colours of the image?
Out of curiosity what language did you write aniwall application in?
