Makefile has a users home directory in it. about s2-geometry-library

Hi, sorry to bother, but i'm curious about how s2 works. and i do google a lot 
but find  little info talking about it. So i'm thinking maybe i should ask for 
some guidance and hope to get some materials, some articles or blogs something 
to give me a hit, before going deep inside the raw codes.
