👍
Yes I would love to hear something from @wfarr about this... :)

Never saw the other version. It looks like we both started on our projects about the same time.

I'm curious about the "more complete" bit though. Seems like functionality is on-par, and they just have a significantly longer README?

@wfarr about the "more complete", this this version have plugins support? That would be nice.

This always happens on free software communities, at some point forks could happen and also the forks could evolve and take different ways. If some other project use this nodenv version or OiNutter's version should be specified somewhere and reduce confusion.

As we can't modify google results order, there is no much thing that we can do to avoid this confusion.

This project is used and will be maintained for a while more. Want a new feature? yea do it and open a pull request. A bug? Yeah that should be solved on next patch release.

All opinions are welcome!

With the blessing of both original authors @OiNutter and @wfarr, wfarr's version has been sunsetted in favor of oinutter's version. OiNutter's version is now the version installed by homebrew, and we are in the process of forming the nodenv org to maintain nodenv (and plugins) moving forward.

Further, the fork of wfarr's version that was created by @ericanderson under the old nodenv org has been renamed to wfarr-nodenv and will remain under the nodenv org (but not actively maintained). I've merged latest from wfarr into wfarr-nodenv and that will likely be the last activity. OiNutter's version should be transferred to the nodenv org very soon, at which point nodenv/nodenv will be the actively maintained version.
