Can you use a sniffer tool (wireshark, or tcpick, or similar) to find out what gets sent over the loopback connection in both cases?

Wireshark reports a packet from the nvim repl but no reply from sbcl.
My nvim connects to, or start a new repl no problem, the syn/ack for the first \ss of a expr gets a response from SBCL but the vlime repl hangs and does not respond at all.
FreeBSD 13.1-STABLE GENERIC amd64
