Extension Broken in Chrome 16.0.912.63 m about clickonceforchrome

Thanks for the report. Could you go to chrome://plugins/ and make sure 
"ClickOnce plugin for Chrome - Version: 1.2.1.0" is listed and enabled?

I have 16.0.912.63 m on Win7 here and am not not seeing the same failure. Is 
there anything unusual about your machine configuration?

It is listed and it is enabled, see the attached showing the plugins screen. 
There shouldn't be anything unusual about my installation. Have full admin 
privileges, nothing blocked or no security turned up. 

It is as if the mime extension didn't get created for the .application file.

Never mind, the issue was on the server. The mime type in IIS was not set as 
"application/x-ms-application" so it wasn't downloading properly. 

Consider this closed, sorry for taking up your time. It is working fine now.

No problem - glad you got it working.  


Unlike the FireFox extension for clickonce this one doesn't actually load until 
activated by the mime type.  This is good since it means the extension takes 
essentially 0 resources when not in use but it also means that it can't "guess" 
based on the file extension if the mime from the server is wrong.
