Hi

I don't have much documentation aside from that all the code is triple
slash documented. The usage should be fairly simple, and follows what you
can find through Google's own documentation.

If you have a specific usage I can give you a code example.

Thank you for your reply.
What I would like to accomplish is have an xml list of nearby places with keywords (E.G. Police, Hospital, Fire_Station) that I can place markers on a map.
I would also like to get local business hours, images, locations, etc.

With the api Google provides they recommend using WebRequest to query their api but I feel that the response errors out somewhere. I can’t debug where though.

Thank you again.

Hi

You request a place using search nearby (seemed that you got that). After
getting the places, the PlaceId needs to be parsed to place details which
will return all the details about the place, like description, opening
hours etc.

The photos part isn't fully implemented yet, so getting images won't be
possible. I will soon make a new version including the few missing parts of
the Google maps api, including place photos.

Hope it helps, otherwise I can send a code example, but I will not before
in a few days, as I am travelling at the moment.

Hi

Check out this test,
https://github.com/vivet/GoogleApi/blob/master/GoogleApi.Test/Places/PlacesTest.cs#L87

  • shows an example of using nearby search

Then this test,
https://github.com/vivet/GoogleApi/blob/master/GoogleApi.Test/Places/PlacesTest.cs#L61

  • shows how to use the response to get details. Different places search get
the PlaceId based on different criteria. In your case the nearby search
will also return PlaceId's. I know the test uses auto complete but you can
replace that part with the nearby search.
