You can change the url in BigCommerce /en-US/shipping-returns and /en-US/contact also do this for /es/ if you want the demo without code changes of locals, also need to do is disable blog in BigCommerce for the demo store to work

I am experiencing a similar issue. In my case it says
Unhandled error during request: Error: Page with slug 'en-US/shipping-returns' not found
