Just following up on this, I do not think this issue is related to the game but a bug in amdgpu for navi10 cards

I am just going to close this, for anyone wondering, there was a lot of instability with navi cards with the kernel at the time.
I did a few things to help with the situation:

- Make sure fans are actually being turned on,
pwm1_enableis set to not 0, this was set to 0 for me causing my card to over heat - Downclock the card by either using pp features from the above link or the hardware switch on the card. For some reason the kernel/amdgpu was setting the frequency to higher than it was, when the card was under load it would cause it to crash
from dota-underlords.
