servers.u.o迁移至docker2

考虑到最近blog不太稳定,且无法安装插件(#43)。

计划将servers.u.o迁移至docker2。独立docker。

lug.ustc.edu.cn/blog迁移至USTC blog

目前LUG新闻站与wiki放在同一个域名下。

我想将WordPress与dokuwiki分离开,以降低系统耦合度。dokuwiki使用docker管理,WordPress则迁移至USTCblog。

同时启用新域名news.ustclug.org,lug.ustc.edu.cn/blog则301跳转到news.ustclug.org。

大家觉得如何?

docker容器迁移至内网

扩展了内网的地址空间(10.254.0.0/21),拟将10.254.1.0/24分配给docker容器。
拟用三级域名 .d.ustclug.org记录docker容器的IP地址。

优势:

  • docker容器拥有固定的内网IP,可以与内网中任意主机互通。
  • docker容器可以方便得迁移到任意一台docker母机中,而不需要修改反代(或端口映射)规则。
  • 容器默认路由走gw-el,同时保持母机路由不变

缺陷:

  • gateway-el单点故障

  • light (light-squid, light-web, light-freeradius, light-mysql)
  • telegram-web
  • lugwiki

mirrors 硬件升级?

专门开一个 issue 跟踪近期到中期的硬件升级问题。

之前我和 Aron Xu 谈过 Canonical 赞助 mirrors 服务器部分硬件(特指内存,起源是 Aron 安利 ZFS,但是 ZFS 是内存消耗大户),这件事情正在 C 社内部跟进,暂时没回音。

mirrors 年头也不小了,有必要更新其它硬件吗?如有,应该如何下手呢?不知道现在经费有多少。

*.ustclug.org的证书由StartCom Class 2 Primary Intermediate Server CA签发,StartCom Class 2 Primary Intermediate Server CA使用了sha-1,所以尽管ustclug.org使用了sha-256,但其签发者是sha-1,所以在Chrome 42上,访问ustclug.org已经是“红锁”了。

lugwiki打开速度缓慢

lugwiki首页打开时间超过5秒(用curl测试)
经调试发现:PHP会动态请求gravatar.com的头像。严重拖慢了加载速度。

@hosiet 有办法关掉这个功能吗?或者为头像文件添加缓存?

换个监控前端

感觉可以把现在的 ganglia-web 换掉,不如换个好看点的 grafana。
底层监控如果不方便改的话,可以继续用 ganglia gmond。

gmetad 可以把收集的日志记录到 graphite,然后 grafana 可以显示 graphite 的日志。
不过如果可以自己写一个 grafana 的 plugin,直接读取 gemtad 的数据就更好了。。。
