@jpgilchrist Thank you so much :)
Adding Famo.us is a really good idea and for my personal opinion the best way to go.
In my view, Meteor+AngularJS is the best way to go now and we need to add to that a design framework.
The possibilities for me are Bootstrap, Ionic, Polymer and Famo.us.
After working a lot with Bootstrap and Ionic, both of them are really solid but mobile performance out of the box are OK, not more.
Then I've tried Polymer. it is really beautiful but it's support for PhoneGap/Cordova projects is really disappointing!
I really believe in Famo.us/angular. I was looking forward to start working with that, about 3 weeks from now.
My main focus is to try to build a grid that is responsive, something like Bootstrap and Polymer - a simple view on the web that on mobile turns into something with a side-menu.
I wanted to do it in the socially tutorial, would love to see if you have an idea on how to do it, we can also chat in video or something and write a chapter on that together.

For our current project, I'm not sure I have the time to immediately look into leveraging famo.us. However, when we get to a place where we are looking to utilize famo.us, I'll see what I can do in regards to helping you out.
