Hey!
Right now the list tries to favor recurring donations over one-shot contributions (see here):
Funding Types
- Alternatives to Patreon, that provide similar recurring payment schemes, are accepted (Opencollective, Liberapay, Flattr, Podia, Drip, etc...).
- Paypal donation links are sometimes tolerated for bigger projects.
So, every platform that offers the ability to do that is by default ok. In general, I think that recurring donations are better for a wide range of reasons but if a project does not yet provide that option, one-shot donation could be included too in some cases.
Multiple links could be listed as - [Main Patreon](link), [#2](link) - desc
.
Yep, Morevna would fit in more than one place, but following the same reasoning behind the "Hardware Related" category, it's better to add a new "Open Source Art" category, creation/improvement of open source software related to art (done).

Thanks for the swift response :)

Thanks a lot for this currated list, that's exaclty what I needed since years that I'm exploring recurring donation platforms for libre projects to donate to!!
Even though having the non-libre, VC backed, almost monopolistic platform that is Patreon having the spotlight here (up to the repo name), accepting the other similar platforms is great. Thanks again for your help in advocating new business models for libre stuff which will contribute to it's professionalization quality and quantity. This is very very import for a saner digital world that is respectful of the users.

Thanks for the kind words. 👍
Patreon had the head start and it's more or less universally known right now, so I had to go with that :)
Can't wait for some of those alternatives (that luckily are just not mere clones) to reach the size of Patreon...

Not that it is super relevant, but Liberapay is a fork of Gratipay, which was founded as Gittip in 2012, while Patreon was only founded in 2013 :)
