Just for more info, the strange ll alias make it only useful for long-listing the current directory. ll /some/other/path is broken.

$ ll /
/ is a directory

When less is aliased to another program that doesn't change its behaviour when it's in a pipe, the ll alias also breaks basic listing.

All BSD's come with /usr/share/skel/dot.shrc' anddot.cshrcthat aliasll` to what you have as "l-l". Anybody who has used any BSD now has a broken command for one of the most basic aliases.

Sorry it took so long for me to notice this. You're right, ls aliases aren't OS X related, moved them to my private dotfiles and yanked them from here.

Er, actually, 34d7c92 doesn't remove the ls aliases.
