You can utilize CAS client's ignorePattern init parameter of Authentication filter and configure it like this:

    @SpringBootApplication
    @EnableCasClient
    class CasProtectedApplication extends CasClientConfigurerAdapter {    
        @Override
        void configureAuthenticationFilter(FilterRegistrationBean authenticationFilter) {
