You mean you want to have "aggregates" in result query string?
You can achieve this by using formatField() in config:

        formatField: (field, parts, label2, fieldDefinition, config, isForDisplay) => {
            if (parts[0] == 'members' && parts[1] == 'members_count') {
              parts[0] = 'aggregates';
              return parts.join('.');
            }
            if (isForDisplay)
                return label2;
            else
                return field;
        },

With this config queryString() will genarate appropriate query string with "aggregates.members_count" instead of "members.members_count"

Yep, that's exactly what I mean.

I don't doubt that would work, but our fields configuration is sent via an API that wouldn't really do the field formatting function well. Where in the codebase would I look to modify the behavior?
