You want the polyfill method, plus maxPolyfillSize to estimate the memory required - see the docs. You'll need to express your rectangle as a GeoPolygon with four coordinates, rather than a bounding box (though we've considered adding bboxPolyfill as a convenience, as it would have a small performance benefit).
