If we remove the #[serde(borrow)]
on the request, this works just as one would like, but that means that the data would never be borrowed
from twitch_api.
I personally wouldn't mind not borrowing when deserializing (for now), since the requests are mainly used for serializing. Maybe this could be a feature-flag?
from twitch_api.
That sounds good. I do feel like this is solvable though, I'm wondering why the solution in serde-rs/serde#1712 doesn't work
from twitch_api.
this might be relevant serde-rs/serde#2016 (comment)
from twitch_api.
This has been fixed in a rather unfortunate way
to fix it, make sure you and your dependencies don't use the deser_borrows
feature, by disabling default features
twitch_api = { version = "0.7.0", default-features = false }
this will work for most requests, except those containing arrays
from twitch_api.
