@spif I have a feeling you're looking at the latest bootstrap docs, but the master branch of bootstrap-sass. The 2.0 branch contains the correct selectors for Twitter Bootstrap 2.0. See here: https://github.com/thomas-mcdonald/bootstrap-sass/blob/2.0/vendor/assets/stylesheets/bootstrap/_buttons.scss#L71

I have a feeling he's getting close to merging the 2.0 branch into master, but until then you can point your Gemfile to the 2.0 branch and have the selectors that match up with the docs.

@billturner thanks for the answer. Although I actually am getting the correct branch from github, my output of a bundle install mentions:

Using bootstrap-sass (2.0.0) from git://github.com/thomas-mcdonald/bootstrap-sass (at 2.0)

Apparently there was still some old muck hanging around my setup. A simple rm Gemfile.lock && bundle install fixed this.

Hangs head in shame.
(Should have checked the 2.0 branch here in stead of going through the local bootstrap-sass files.)

Sorry to bug you and closing the issue. Thx.
