The version of translate you quote is far too old, please use at least 0.8rc5 or
something from 2006.

The — problem in the wiki was because of an autofromatting rule that I have now
disabled, so it looks fine now, thanks for reporting

That may be the case. In fact I installed the newest version, but directly after
installing Ubuntu told me it had a newer version, to which I updated. Looks like
this is in fact an older version with a newer Ubuntu-built!
I will uninstall that one and try again.

Ok, after installing the newer version this problem did no longer occur. I filed
a bug at Ubuntu, because apt-get mixes up the package numbers.
Could you please mention somewhere (Wiki + README) that the package “python-dev”
or “python2.x-dev” is required to install the translate-toolkit? Ubuntu comes
with python installed, but without python dev. It took me hours to find out.
Now other problems occured, I will file a different bug for that.

OK Erdal, would you mind adding it to the Wiki? Also with an explanation if
possible. Thanks :-)
Marking this as INVALID because it was an old version, but please file new bugs
if you have issues with the new one
