It looks like InverseTransformDirection is not used in any of these classes.
What version of Unity do you use and can you upload a sample project?

Im using 4.2.1f4 version. This is the project, open the scene called "TestTouch" and try to rotate the plane, that is when i get the error http://www.mediafire.com/download/ny77wsucsvecs1q/TestTouch3.rar.

Fixed.
In the latest commit in develop branch.
Or you can put your plane in an empty GameObject for now.
