Please! Or at least have a look if you can see what's blowing up the logfile that much. Careful, Tomahawk will shrink the file upon restarting!

Another problem I'm actually having is that Tomahawk doesn't remember my local music collection, might have something to do with that. However, the following part of the file looks pretty hefty:

Fri Nov 13 2015 - 11:22:09 [8]: Enqueueing command to rw thread: "deletefiles"
Fri Nov 13 2015 - 11:22:09 [1]: virtual void Tomahawk::DatabaseCommand_DeleteFiles::exec(Tomahawk::DatabaseImpl*) deleting given ids
TSQLQUERY: Fri Nov 13 2015 - 11:22:09 [10]: TomahawkSqlQuery::exec ( 343 ms ): "DELETE FROM file WHERE source IS NULL AND id IN ( 15007, 15008, 15009, 15010, 15011, 15012, ... another 97k chars of this
Fri Nov 13 2015 - 11:22:09 [8]: INSERTING INTO OPLOG: 0 "4af44092-e1d8-4d02-ab3a-8fa878c9a477" "deletefiles"
Fri Nov 13 2015 - 11:22:09 [8]: Saving to oplog: "deletefiles" bytes: 33388 guid: "4af44092-e1d8-4d02-ab3a-8fa878c9a477"
Fri Nov 13 2015 - 11:22:09 [9]: Committing "deletefiles" "4af44092-e1d8-4d02-ab3a-8fa878c9a477"
Fri Nov 13 2015 - 11:22:09 [1]: Notifying of deleted tracks: 13931 from source 0

I deleted the huge log file (obviously) so I can't investigate any further than the 500 line snippet I saved, but if it happens again I'll take another look. My music collection is pretty big (14k songs).

The deletefiles command means all (or at least a part) of your collection has been detected missing in the filesystem and will now be removed from your collection. I assume you have "Watch for changes" enabled? Is your collection on a mounted share that's not available when you start up Tomahawk?

I have watch for changes enabled. My music is on another drive, /media/aj/foo/Music, but it's always plugged in and available.

Can you reproduce this with "Watch for changes" disabled and manually updating the collection? Which file-system are your songs on?
