The only thing that comes to mind is placement of
set -g @resurrect-restore 'C-r'
line as compared torun-shell ~/.tmux/plugins/tpm/tpm
line.
The line no. 2 above sources plugins. As a general rule, it should be the last line in .tmux.conf
. If you placed line no. 1 after line no. 2 it is possible you got this issue.
If this is too confusing, just link your .tmux.conf
and I'll have a look.
Btw. I'm curious, why did you change key binding to C-r
? Is Alt-r
not working for you?

Thanks @bruno. After some experimentation, it turns out I just had a conflicting keybinding with the tmux-copycat plugin, so the order of set -g @resurrect-restore 'C-r'
didn't matter.
And yes, Alt-r
is not working for me either for some reason. I'm pretty sure its not the terminal emulator, since I am able to use the option key as a modifier key for other shortcuts outside of tmux.

Thanks for the feedback. It seems there are quite some people that can't get Alt
key mappings to work.
I'll just change the key bindings to prefix + Ctrl-s
and Ctrl-r
and deprecate Alt
keys.
