Unfortunately I never got a pull request to merge in @mainland's changes to allow compilation on Windows, and I never had a windows box that I could test this with myself. I'll ask around the (new) office and see if anybody has one I could use.

I have managed to install the package by porting the changes from the @mainland repo. I'll soon follow up with the repo with merged changes.
