Having this issue as well since FF 20 update on win7. We're actually using version 3.5.8. This appears to only be happening in FF since the update; previously everything worked as expected. We have paste_auto_cleanup_on_paste set to true and this no longer strips the mso tags. The paste from word function still seems to work though.

Couldn't reproduce this one tried Win XP, latest nightly of 4.x and Firefox 21.

On WinXP with TinyMCE 4.x, it appears to have been fixed with Firefox 16.
