Our approach was top-down meaning that we looked at computer networks first from an application developer’s perspective and moving down towards the more detailed hardware level. In this course, we covered: computer networks, protocols, and the internet protocol stack • Client-server and peer-to-peer models • Application layer protocols (HTTP, SMTP, DNS) • TCP/IP and UDP transport protocols • Network layer protocols (IPv4 and IPv6) and routing algorithms •A i Local area networks (LANs) including Ethernet, and 802.11 • Web caching and designing scalable servers

My coursework from Operating Systems. In this course, we studied the various components which comprise a modern operating system. Such components including processes and threads, memory management, and file systems (to name a few.) This course was a mixture of both theory and practical study where we complemented theory with several examples showing how real operating systems work. Our case studies included Linux, UNIX, Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.
